2000y Zone Training provides elite offensive line development for athletes across the San Fernando Valley and greater Los Angeles area. We focus on footwork, leverage, run-game technique, hand placement, and real football IQ so players can improve fast and dominate their position. Whether you're preparing for the season or leveling up your skills, our OL-specific trainings build confidence, strength, and game day performance.

What We Teach

At 2000y Zone Training, players learn skills that make great offensive linemen. Every session focuses on the fundamentals that translate directly to a more dominate game-day performance. We break the position down in a way athletes can understand, repeat, and build on week after week.Footwork & MovementExplosive first steps, controlled angles, balance, and the ability to move with purpose. Athletes learn how to win with their feet before they ever strike.Leverage & Body ControlHow to play low, stay strong through contact, and control defenders using proper posture and positioning.Hand Placement & Strike TechniquePrecise, repeatable hand use that helps linemen create movement, maintain blocks, and stay penalty-free.Run-Game FundamentalsWhile we specialize in wide zone, mid zone, and tight zone, all linemen regardless of offensive scheme will learn the foundational pillars of what the run game is all about.Pass ProtectionKick steps, anchor, recovery, inside-out rules, and the mechanics needed to protect your quarterback at every level.Football IQ & Situational UnderstandingBecome a student of the game. Athletes learn how fronts, stunts, blitzes, and alignments change their assignments, helping them play faster and more confidently.Confidence, Consistency, & Work EthicOur goal is to build athletes who know how to compete, communicate, and self-correct on the field. Simply put, we want to make you a problem for your competition.

Meet Coach Castro

Coach Kenneth Castro is an experienced offensive line coach with nearly 20 years of coaching at youth, varsity, and college football levels. He specializes in run-game development, with an emphasis on wide zone scheming. Native to the West Valley, most of his coaching experience (except for his time in college football) has taken place in the San Fernando Valley where he has helped countless LA athletes level up by building technique, strength, and football IQ that translates to massive yardage on the field.

Coach’s PhilosophyWho This Training Is For“When I picture the ideal athlete for this program, I’m thinking agility. Both physical and mental. The kids who get the most out of this are the ones who just keep working at it. It’s not really about talent or being the biggest or the fastest. It’s about technique. Technique matters way more than size or speed. What an athlete really needs to believe is that they can do it. If they walk in expecting instant results or thinking they don’t need much help, they won’t get anything out of this. But the ones who show up consistently and put in the effort? Those are the athletes who grow fast. Parents should know that the kids who do well with me are the ones who want to learn and actually show up ready to work.”What Their Mindset Needs To Be“Player mindset is what separates the good from the great. The great ones value hard work. They understand you only get good at technique by repping it over and over until it sticks.Patience matters. You can’t give part-time effort and expect to be a starter. You’ve got to be willing to learn so you can absorb what you’re being taught.Mistakes aren’t something to beat yourself up over. They’re lessons. They’re feedback. That’s how you get better.Football IQ is huge. It’s the difference between reacting slow and reacting fast. Honestly, most players resist growing in that area, but it’s vital. My goal is to help them build real confidence from becoming students of the game. You only get that from knowing you’re prepared for whatever the guy across from you is about to do.”How Much Commitment It Takes“Commitment looks like showing up and giving full effort. If you want real results, you need to be working often. That can be with your team, with me, or on your own. If you don’t, those reps go nowhere. Football isn’t a sport that forgives time off. The more you do it, the better you get. Simple as that. When an athlete sticks with me for 3 months, the difference is obvious. They’re quicker to adjust. They react faster. Everything starts to clean up.Parents will usually notice better stance, better explosion, and better agility pretty early on. Long-term, their athlete starts standing out more on their team roster. Our evaluation milestones fit right into this. If they’re committed, it shows up in evaluations. Their reads get faster, their corrections stick. The kid who drops in once in a while? They have to be re-taught everything. The consistent kid keeps advancing.”A Final Word From Coach Castro“You’re not just a client. I care that you understand every concept, and I’ll stay with you on it until you’re ready for more. We’re not rushing through anything. What matters most in my sessions is the quality of work you put in. If you bring real effort, I’ll match it every time. The athletes I love working with are the ones who want to become something bigger.I love coaching because this is the greatest game in the world, and I get to use what I know to help build the future of it.”In a Nutshell…I want to teach linemen the details most people overlook. Footwork, leverage, posture, and confidence all matter. You build confidence when you build your football IQ alongside your technique. That means becoming elite against certain looks and being able to adjust. With the run and pass, you will be well-technical for your scheme. If you can master those things, you can control the line of scrimmage.

What are some of the mistakes you see offensive linemen make often? Most offensive linemen think the edge comes from strength or speed. But it really comes from using what you already have. At 2000y Zone Training, we teach better footwork, smarter reads, and stronger habits so you play with real confidence. Level up your O-Line skills with 2000y Zone Training.

Who will thrive in this training? This training is for athletes who want to work. Kids who care about technique and show up ready to get better. It’s not about being the biggest or the fastest. It’s about believing you can do it and being willing to rep it until it sticks. The mindset that separates great players is simple: value hard work, be patient, and treat mistakes as lessons. Game IQ matters just as much as footwork or strength. If you stay consistent, you’re going to see real changes. Better stance, better explosion, quicker reactions. My job is to make sure you understand every concept and build the kind of confidence that shows up on the field.

Book your First SessionStart with a single session or choose a training package. There is no long-term commitment required to book our trainings. We recommend the first training is private so we can most accurately assess the athlete's skill level.

What Happens in Session 1This session sets the foundation for everything that comes next.- We get to know the athlete's position, goals, and experience.
- We'll look at basic movement, stance, balance, and technique.
- We identify 1-2 immediate areas for improvement.
- All new athletes receive a free Mini Evaluation as a part of their first session. We'll send back one clip, one correction, one next step within 3-5 business days and keep it in your file as a benchmark for your progress.

Train ConsistentlyAthletes train can privately or in small groups depending on what fits their needs. Most players train once or twice weekly.During training we focus on:
